Entrance to Good Shepherd Church

Bible Study & Prayer Group

Bible Study

The Bible Study ministry at Good Shepherd church began in September 2008. Since it was the year of St. Paul, the first Little Rock Scripture Study course done was Paul's Letters from Prison. Over the past ten years the hunger to read and understand God's Word has resulted in doing two courses a year on Tuesdays, one in the Fall, and the other during Lent. LRSS has appealed to many because it is user friendly, with personal study, weekly group meetings, and a wrap-up lecture. From Panorama of the Old Testament to Parables of the Kingdom participants have grown in their relationship with God and each other.

Recently, Bishop Barron's courses like Catholicism, Conversion, and Priest, Prophet, King, have been enjoyed by all.

New Course: Bishop Barron's The Mass in September 2018.

Coordinator: Viola Athaide

Prayer Group

The Good Shepherd prayer group meets on Tuesday evenings to pray for the parish community and world needs. Through hymn singing, the recitation of the Scriptural Rosary, Lectio Divina and meditation, this group has become a close knit community in love with God, and caring for fellow parishioners.

New members are always welcomed.
