Casserole for Good Shepherd Refuge

The Knights of Columbus Council #8340 of the Good Shepherd parish conducts a monthly food drive for the Good Shepherd Refuge for the homeless. This initiative has been on-going since 2009 and to end of 2020 the parishioners of Good Shepherd have donated upwards of 45,000 lbs of food by this program for the Good Shepherd Refuge in Toronto to feed the homeless and marginalized people.  Even with the constraints of the Covid-19 regulations in 2020, our parishioners have continued to make monthly casserole & other food donations during the pandemic times.

The knights encourage Good Shepherd parishioners to prepare frozen casseroles and bring them to the church during masses on the weekend of the third Sunday of every month. Recipes and casserole pans are distributed during masses on the previous weekend. Other non-perishable food donations are also accepted.

Please check the Calendar of Events on this website by clicking the Next Caserole Collection button.

The food donation will be picked up by the Good Shepherd Refuge on the following Monday.
