Our School

St. Michael Catholic Academy is situated beside Good Shepherd Church. Since 1977 St. Michael School has welcomed children from the local community to the advantages of Catholic Education.  With the transition to an Academy of the Arts in 1997, it expanded on this opportunity to include children from all parts of York Region who would benefit from an exposure to the Arts. Specialized teachers in the areas of Visual Art, Music, Drama, Physical Education and Mathematics provide a well-balanced curriculum. All students wear a school uniform and beginning in grade 4, students participate in one of the school bands. The new, larger, Arts focus school building opened in 2011 and has 365 students enrolled for the 2016/2017 school year.
