Eucharist

Mass Schedule

The Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is the sacrament that completes the Christian initiation. The Eucharist is the sacrament of our salvation accomplished by Christ on the cross, is also a sacrifice of praise in thanksgiving for the work of creation. In the Eucharistic sacrifice the whole of creation loved by God is presented to the Father through the death and the Resurrection of Christ. Through Christ the Church can offer the sacrifice of praise in thanksgiving for all that God has made good, beautiful, and just in creation and in humanity (CCC1359).

The Holy Communion is the central rite of Catholic worship. It can be received daily if desired, although it is usually offered during the celebration of the Liturgy (Holy Mass).

A baptized child's First Communion is usually celebrated around age seven or eight and is preceded by their first confession (the sacrament of Reconciliation).

Here at the Good Shepherd parish Sunday Mass is the highlight of the entire week. However masses are celebrated throughout the week.
